This Wine & Design class took on a Japanese flair with these trending kokedama designs. Never heard of kokedama? You will! This unique style from the Far East is getting noticed by floral design influencers & trendsetters all over social media, including Martha Stewart!
Kokedama means “moss ball” in Japanese. It is a style of bonsai gardening used to display plants by suspending the shape using a decorative chain or string. We like to think of kokedama as “living pots.” Kokedama design is a great way to incorporate your favorite succulents indoors, outdoors, or for a show-stopping element at a party or event. As always team member Debbe V. did a great job leading the class. Our Wine & Designs are BYOB classes so students get to sip their Chardonnays while they design. Such fun!
