You will learn to spiral tie a bouquet in the trending European style, then disassemble it to see the method in reverse, you take the flowers and make a classic floral foam bouquet-holder style. Girl Scout Flower Badge Workshop

Does your scout want to earn her Flower Badge? Then this workshop is for her! Arizona Flower Market is a new Program Partner of the Girl Scouts Arizona Cactus-Pine Council. Your scout can now do the 5 activity steps needed to acquire their Flower Badge right here in the Market! This class is open to any junior (9-11 years old, 4th & 5th grade) Cactus-Pine Girl Scouts but we do have a 25 student maximum. We will work through the 5 activity steps including:

1) Uncover the Science of the Flower

2) Look Under The Petals

3) Find Out How Flowers Help People

4) Have Fun With Flowers

5) Send A Message In Flower Code

This will be a fun & educational workshop and upon completion, each girl will receive her official Flower Badge. Must be a Junior Girl Scout (9-11 years old, 4th & 5th grade). Our first class sold out so don’t wait to register!

Registration fee of $20 includes everything they will need to complete the steps plus a colorful, branded florists apron to keep.

2020 Floral Trends Design Class

Moody colors and soft, feminine textures bring your formal affair out of the ballroom and into the light of day.

Muted and muddy tonal flowers combine with lacy and airy foliage in addition to collected high-end items to evoke the romantic sense of bohemian style with a touch of sophistication. Garden flowers such as Roses, Hydrangea, Lilac, Lisianthus and Tender Vines are paired unexpectedly with a dried floral accent or two in loose natural stylings to create an elegant yet comfortable feel.

About the Instructor: Krista Hampton started her own floral design company in 2005, specializing in wedding and event designs. She now enjoys designing for us at Arizona Flower Market. She brings an ‘anyone can do it’ approach to floral design and loves teaching the ins and outs and educating folks on anything related to flowers and plants. Krista holds a Master’s degree in Business Management. She is proud of her southern background where her floral roots began and comes from a long line of floral designers. In addition to being a floral designer, Krista is an avid traveler. “Where I’ve never been, is where I want to go.” She also enjoys being a personal chef for her family and friends, dancing to good music while cooking, enjoying any body of water and chronicling her travel adventures.
