Seasonal Changes Design Class

After a long, hot summer, guest instructor Brian Vetter AAF, AzMF, AIFD, PCFI, helped his class rush fall, trick the thermostat and get a jump start on that brisk fall feeling. Brian helped cool his students off with a psychological “change of the seasons.” He showed his class how to create that fall state of mind by using autumn colored flowers of red, orange, gold and brown, with accents of dried maple leaves & real red delicious apples. His creations were very “cool”! See all of our upcoming classes by clicking on the DIY Flower Classes tab and register right from the listing. Wine & Design: Floral Basics Class

Our Wine & Design Series continued as we looked forward to cooler weather and the fun fall season. Team lead Rheanna walked her class through the basic principles of floral design including: proportion, scale, harmony, rhythm, balance, unity and emphasis. Students could then apply their newfound knowledge to most any type of floral design. Our Wine & Designs are BYOB classes so students get to sip their Chardonnays while they design. Such fun! Greenhouse Open House & Build Your Own Terrarium Class

Back by popular demand, our resident “Plant Lady” Debbe V. spent days preparing the greenhouse for this open house event! She brought in tons of green & flowering plants, cactus, succulents, air plants, you name it. We also had tons of container options available and of course Debbe’s expert advice to guide customers through their DIY project. Plus, she held a Build Your Own Terrarium Class as well! Wine & Design: Kokedama Succulent Ball

This Wine & Design class took on a Japanese flair with these trending kokedama designs. Never heard of kokedama? You will! This unique style from the Far East is getting noticed by floral design influencers & trendsetters all over social media, including Martha Stewart!
Kokedama means “moss ball” in Japanese. It is a style of bonsai gardening used to display plants by suspending the shape using a decorative chain or string. We like to think of kokedama as “living pots.” Kokedama design is a great way to incorporate your favorite succulents indoors, outdoors, or for a show-stopping element at a party or event. As always team member Debbe V. did a great job leading the class. Our Wine & Designs are BYOB classes so students get to sip their Chardonnays while they design. Such fun! Wedding Weekend Design Classes

Our first ever Wedding Weekend Floral Design Classes was a huge hit! We kicked it off Friday afternoon with our Wine & Design: Dreamy Bridal Bouquets. Students learned several popular bouquet variations and some neat tricks along the way, ending up with breathtaking blush-toned hand tied bouquets to take home. The fun continued on Saturday with 3 back-to-back classes. First up, Centerpieces, followed by Arches & Canopies, wrapping up with Corsages & Boutonnieres. Powerhouse team member Krista led ALL of the classes and shared her design talents with dozens of DIY brides. Missed it? Don’t worry, we are planning another Wedding Weekend in January.
